HCEFCU is operated exclusively for the benefit of any Hawaii County Employee working on the island of Hawaii, any person employed under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act who works for the County of Hawaii on the island of Hawaii, any registered volunteer of the County of Hawaii who works at the County of Hawaii facilities on the island of Hawaii under the supervision of employees of the County of Hawaii, and any employee of the Hawaii Government Employees Association or the United Public Workers Association who works in Hilo, Hawaii. Family members of the above are also eligible and membership is lifetime, regardless of whether the member leaves the employ of the County.
